My Son and his Dad's Doll

So recently my mother-in-law brought a box filled with some of Kelly's childhood toys. Included in those toys was this Cabbage Patch doll. Apparently, in the '80's when these were all the rage, Kelly's mom took him to the store and told him he could pick whichever Cabbage Patch doll he wanted. He chose this one. She tried to get him to choose one that looked like him- nope, he wanted the black baseball player.

Carter, who adores his new baby brother, has enthusiastically adopted this doll/baby that he can take care of. The doll is now wearing one of Deacon's diapers and some of Deacon's newborn clothes instead of the worn-out baseball jersey. Oh, and his new name is Dorsy. I never thought a little boy playing with a Cabbage Patch doll could be so cute.

That is sweet! I wish Con and Grace would follow Carter's lead, but they want the to play with the baby that wiggles, cries and jumps when startled.
